TERMS & ABBREVIATIONS

Chain(s): ch(s):Yarn over, pull through

Slip Stitch (ss): Insert hook, yarn over, pull through all loops.

Double Crochet(s): dc(s):  Insert hook into stitch, yarn over, pull up a loop, you will have two loops on the hook. Yarn over, pull through remaining two loops.

Double Crochet Two Together (dc2tog): Insert hook, Yarn over and pull through. Insert hook into the next stitch, Yarn over and pull through. Yarn over and pull through all loops on the hook.

Treble Crochet (tr): Yarn over, insert into chain space, yarn over, pull through, you will have three loops on the hook. Yarn over, pull through two loops, yarn over, pull through remaining two loops.

Bunny Head

Using Colour A

Create a magic circle

Round 1: 6dc into magic circle (6 stitches)

Round 2: 2dc into each stitch (12 stitches)

Round 3: *dc, 2dc in next stitch* 6 times (18 stitches)

Round 4: *2dc, 2dc in next stitch* 6 times (24 stitches)

Round 5: *3dc, 2dc in next stitch* 6 times (30 stitches)

Round 6: *4dc, 2dc in next stitch* 6 times (36 stitches)

Round 7: *5dc, 2dc in next stitch* 6 times (42 stitches)

Round 8: *6dc, 2dc in next stitch* 6 times (48 stitches)

Round 9-12: 48dc

Round 13: *6dc, dc2tog* 6 times (42 stitches)

Round 14: *5dc, dc2tog* 6 times (36 stitches)

Round 15: *4dc, dc2tog* 6 times (30 stitches)

Insert the eyes around row 12 roughly 1.5 inches apart. Start stuffing the bunny head.

Round 16: *3dc, dc2tog* 6 times (24 stitches)

Round 17: *2dc, dc2tog* 6 times (18 stitches)

Continue to stuff the head until you reach your desired firmness.

Round 18: *dc, dc2tog* 6 times (12 stitches)

Round 19: *dc2tog* 6 times (6 stitches)

Tie off leaving a long tail (you will be using this later to connect to the ‘lovey’ section)

Bunny Ears (make 2)

Using Colour A

Create a magic circle

Round 1: 5dc into magic circle (5 Stitches)

Round 2: 2dc into each dc from (10 Stitches)

Round 3: *dc, 2dc in next stitch* 5 Times (15 Stitches)

Round 4-7: 15dc

Round 8: *3dc, dc2tog* 3 times (12 Stiches)

Round 9-10: 12dc

Round 11: *2dc, dc2tog* 3 times (9 Stitches)

Round 12-13: 9dc

Tie off leaving a long tail.

Attachment Of Ears 

Sew the ears to the top of the head roughly half and inch apart.

Bunny Nose 

Using colour B, sew on the nose using a back stitch technique.

Create an upside down triangle shape with a 1cm line underneath it.

The nose should sit between the eyes with the top of the nose no further up than the centre of the eyes.

Lovey Section 

PLEASE NOTE: Your chain 3 will class as a treble stitch. 

Foundation: Ch4 and connect using ss

Round 1: Ch3, 2tr into center circle, *ch2, 3tr* 3 times. ch2, ss into top of ch3 (3 trebles along one edge, 12 in total) 

Round 2: Ch3, 1tr into the top of the next 2 stitches. *2tr into corner space, ch2, 2 tr into the corner space. 1 tr into the top of the next 3 stitches* 3 times. 2tr into corner space, ch2, 2 tr into the corner space (7 trebles along one edge, 28 stitches in total) 

Round 3-11: Continue with the same formula. Start each round with a chain 3. 1tr into the top of a treble from the previous row (with each row added you will start further into the edge) 2tr, chain 2, 2tr into the corner Your edges will grow by 4 stitches each round and each round will increase by 16 stitches. 

Round 3: 11 on edge, 44 in total.

Round 4: 15 on edge, 60 in total.

Round 5: 19 on edge, 76 in total.

Round 6: 23 on edge, 92 in total.

Round 7: 27 on edge, 108 in total. 

Round 8: 31 on edge, 124 in total.

Round 9: 35 on edge, 140 in total.

Round 10: 39 on edge, 156 in total.

Round 11: 43 on edge, 172 in total.

Tie off. 

Round 12: Using Colour B, dc into each space from previous row. Place 3dc into the corner spaces. connect and chain 1

Round 13: *(dc, ch2, dc) in one stitch, dc* Repeat around entire row. Connect and tie off Sew in your ends and connect head to centre of lovey
