Tips for Achieving the Best Results
- When crocheting the camel stitch border, be sure to keep your tension even. This will help to create a neat and uniform border.
- If your main project has a lot of color changes or texture changes, consider using a solid color for your border. This will help to create a cohesive and finished look.

Thanks Sarah-Jayne. You’re a lifesaver. I’m making a waffle stitch baby blanket from a written pattern and video tutorial but was completely flummoxed by the instructions for the border! A bit of searching and I determined that it was in camel stitch so you can imagine my delight after googling ‘Camel stitch border for blanket’ and I came across your blog post. Your instructions are clear and I’m looking forward to starting on the border – I know now I won’t have any issues.
