  1. Tania Du Toit says:

Good day. I’m looking forward to start with this blanket. Sorry, stupid question (I’m a beginner…) how many stitches do you work in the magic circle for this pattern? Thanks!!

    1. Please can you tell me if I can print this pattern off and if so where i will find it

  2. Lucy Preece says:

Sorry I am new to crochet but eager to learn. What does * mean?

  3. Tanya Abela says:

How do you join the motifs please?

  4. Janet Martin says:

I was wondering why the instructions for treble 2together was given for the 12point star blanket when it’s not actually used in the pattern. Am I missing something?

  5. Emma Paris says:

I know it is meant to be worked until the star is big enough for a blanket but any advice on how to change it into a large granny square? The ombre yarn I’m using does not have enough of one color to get past row 15 without running out in the same row so I am hoping to make a few and join them somehow. Thanks in advance!

make it multicolored..im doing one red and white for christmas table cloth .God bless

  7. Hi! I am wanting to try and make this while changing colors in the middle of the row. It doesn’t seem to be working how I want when I am trying to start the new row with a new color and isn’t making the line as crisp as I would like. Do you have any suggestions or tips?

  8. Hi, I’m hoping to make a blanket for a toddler and wondering roughly how many 100g balls of yarn I would need to achieve this. Thanks, Hannah

  9. Hello!!! Adorable pattern, I am stuck on row 6. Is it possible the first part of the instruction is missing? I am finding I’m starting at the wrong spot and it needs a SS to next st before the Ch 3.

    Any advice would be helpful!

    Thanks!

  10. Hi, Can you do the ( tr, ch 2, tr ) every 4th row instead of every 3rd row..??

  11. What ply or weight is the yarn for the pattern. Eager to get started. Thank you.

    1. I guess this is a sport weight yarn which would be rated as 3 ply.

  12. I must have missed how many skeins I would need for this blanket. Is a #3 weight yarn suitable for this blanket? I have 2 skeins. Thanks for sharing this pattern.

  13. i went to find your blog and its telling me it cant be found can you give me the link so i can go print off this pattern please thank you i am excited to give this one a try

  14. Melissa Woodrow says:

Hi I will be making this blanket for a friend who is getting married, but she wants a twin size. How many skeins or balls would you recommend?

  15. Thank you for the pattern and the video tutorial. I just found a small error in your round three written pattern. In the part after the * to * it states to ch2 into the same ch3 space from the beginning. However, there needs to be a treble stitch before the ch2. I had to watch the video to figure this out! 🙂

  16. Karen Smith says:

Hello, I’m new to crochet and have started this star blanket 4 times as I’m determined to get it right. On the 4th attempt I thought I had it sussed until I got to row 9. When you start row 9 and go up, all fine, I then do the 2 treble crochets,, chain 2, 2 treble crochets. When I go to come down now, whereas previously I literally had 3 stitches, miss 2 and then 3 stitches going up exactly, I now have extra stitches so I’m guessing I’ve gone wrong somewhere but can’t work out how and where and therefore would really appreciate your help. Thank you
