Materials & Tools

Yarn: Yarnsmiths Cotton, 100% Cotton, Aran (#4/worsted), 50g (1.75oz), 80m (87yds). Each napkin holder uses approx 5yds of MC and 2.5yds yds of CC.
Hook: 4mm (G-6) and 4.5mm (7)

Terms & Abbreviations

Magic Ring: MR
Stitch(s): st(s)
Space(s): sp(s)
Repeat: rep
Skip: sk
Main Colour: MC
Contrast Colour: CC
Slip Stitch(s): ss(s): Insert hook, yarn over, pull through stitch and loop on hook.
Chain(s): ch(s): Yarn over, pull through loop on the hook.
Double Crochet(s): dc(s): Insert hook into stitch, yarn over, pull up a loop, you will have two loops on the hook. Yarn over, pull through remaining two loops.
Half Treble Crochet(s): htr(s): Yarn over, insert into stitch, yarn over, pull up a loop, you will have three loops on the hook. Yarn over, pull through remaining three loops.
Invisible Join: Cut yarn leaving a 15cm tail and thread onto darning needle. Insert under both loops of the first stitch, pull through, then insert back down through centre of the last stitch. Pull snug and weave in the end.

Napkin Holder: Free Crochet Pattern

Holder

Flower

With MC and 4mm hook.

Round 1: Work 6 dc into a MR, join with invisible join.

Pull contrast colour through any st to join.

Round 2: Ch 3, ss in same st, *ss in next st, ch 3, ss in same st; rep from * four more times. Fasten off and pull tail end through first st to join.

Sew in ends.

Assembly

Use long tail ends of holder to attach flower to one end.
Use images as reference.
Sew in any remaining ends.

Usage

To use your napkin holder, simply wrap around the napkin and pull the flower through any of the ch-sps. It’s designed to be adjustable to the size of your napkins.
