Do you have any tutorials on how to join yarns together.
I have a few colors that are short and would like to join them together and then crochet my project.
Thanks for your time.
Sarah-JayneOctober 29, 2018 at 1:39 pm
Hi Christine. Why don’t you check out the magic knot tutorial? That might be a good one for your project? https://youtu.be/15hqoR0KJHA
JudeNovember 1, 2018 at 7:08 pm

Sarah-JayneNovember 20, 2018 at 4:13 pm

Julie BoothNovember 8, 2018 at 8:19 pm
Hi I’m trying to make a tiny hat for a 5lb baby!! Is there a tutorial for that? I’m not finding one, thank you
Laurie DaverinNovember 11, 2018 at 11:29 am
Hi if I purchase the bunny lovey patteren will this include information on how to make a magic circle? I subscribe to your YouTube channel and you say you will leave a link in the information below but I cannot find it.. many thanks
Sarah-JayneNovember 11, 2018 at 7:37 pm
No the pattern doesn’t include the instructions for it. I would say that I have a video for it….however, the video is currently unavailable at the moment 🙁 so sorry! I’m working on getting it back up.
Viviana QuinteroNovember 15, 2018 at 1:07 am
I would like to get your recommended brands for yarn.
Cheryle CollisNovember 16, 2018 at 7:10 pm
Hi, I’m trying to subscribe to your channel at the moment but I’m currently not able to. I’m trying to learn how to crochet can you suggest any video’s to enable me to learn? Do you have any that would help.
LauraJanuary 1, 2019 at 5:38 am
Hi Bella Coco!
Thank you for your website! It’s amazing!
traceyanneFebruary 1, 2019 at 8:57 pm
Hi Sarah, just wanted to thankyou for teaching me crochet. I’ve knitted for donkeys years but could never master anything more than granny stitch shawls. I’ve been crocheting now for about 3 yrs and it’s my addiction. You taught me the stitches and how to follow a pattern. I’ve made so so many different types of garments, toys, blankets .
I think you’re Fab, my husband’s a different matter . I’m still using your tutorials and I’m 3/4 through my first C2C.
Lots of love and thanks again.
Bronwen KennyMarch 5, 2019 at 8:56 pm
Any tutorials on ponchos
BellaCocoTeamMay 21, 2019 at 7:08 am
Hi Bronwen I don’t have any poncho tutorials at the moment but this is certainly on my list of “to do” so keep checking. I do have the crochet cocoon if you wanted to have a look at this 🙂

BellaCocoTeamApril 2, 2019 at 10:51 am

Tina DouglasMay 16, 2019 at 11:39 pm
I really hate to bother you but could you please post a written pattern for the Absolute Beginners Crochet Granny Square tutorial I have watched the tutorial and having a hard time keeping up please thank you
BellaCocoTeamJune 4, 2019 at 10:02 am
Hi Tina sorry to hear that you are having trouble keeping up. The only written pattern i have for the granny square is within the mood blanket pattern which can be purchased from my store for £4.00. Hope this helps 🙂
CaraJuly 27, 2019 at 10:15 am
Hello Sarah-Jayne and the bella-coco team.
Beginners crochet boxes… Wondering if you would consider putting something like that together? My 10yo daughter is very keen, but your projects in your boxes will be too complicated for her.
Cheers from Australia
BellaCocoTeamJuly 30, 2019 at 12:23 pm
Thank you for your great suggestion, this has been noted. 🙂
RoniAugust 14, 2019 at 9:17 pm
In this video how can i increase the oval basket
for another 4 rows after having56 total ?
BellaCocoTeamAugust 15, 2019 at 6:08 pm
If you wanted to increase the oval basket further you would just need to continue the pattern of increases at each end. In the final row shown on the video I increased by making two trebles into one stitch, followed by one treble, followed by two trebles into one stitch, etc. For the next four rows you would just need to increase the number of single treble stitches in between the increases, so:
1. Two trebles in one stitch, two single treble stitches.
2. Two trebles in one stitch, three single treble stitches.
3. Two trebles in one stitch, four single treble stitches.
4. Two trebles in one stitch, five single treble stitches.
Hope this helps
Holly SutherlandSeptember 30, 2019 at 3:51 pm
Hi Sarah Jayne
I love you videos. Have learnt so much. Currently doing a big granny chevron blanket. Is it possible to square off the ends? Could you recommend a border too?
BellaCocoTeamOctober 1, 2019 at 7:13 pm
Thank you, it’s lovely to hear that my tutorials have helped you There isn’t really a way of squaring off the ends of a granny chevron that I think would work – what makes this pattern so appealing is the lovely chevron shape I think. For a border I would make a simple round of double crochets, and then add some pom poms or tassels to the chevrons. A picot border at either end would work well too.
Hope this helps
WendyJanuary 18, 2020 at 10:05 pm
Hi Sarah, I’m looking for a tutorial for a granny square cardigan. Any suggestions
BellaCocoTeamJanuary 21, 2020 at 9:39 am
Hi Wendy Unfortunately I don’t have a tutorial for anything like this. I am working on a cardigan pattern at the moment but it isn’t granny squares. 🙂
LauraMay 4, 2020 at 9:17 pm
Do you have any videos for working in a spiral? The pattern starts off with 2ch, then round 1 -6dc into 1st dc, round 2- 2dc into each of the next dc and round 3- 2dc into next dc and 1dc into next dc, I am already lost,!!
Any help welcome and appreciated. It’s my lockdown project. I have only just started learning. I have recently finished my first small project. Thank you very much.
BellaCocoTeamMay 19, 2020 at 7:36 pm
Hi Laura, I would take a look at my bunny lovey tutorial here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dovGRgHyXzI&t=462s It doesn’t start off exactly the same but works in a spiral and should hopefully help you understand your pattern better It sounds as though you are doing fab if you are tackling projects like this and have only just started learning
ChristineSeptember 26, 2020 at 8:55 pm
Hello – I’m struggling with Sarah’s ‘Scarf Pattern’ or ‘Duchess Scarf’ – chain 5; starting in 4th ch from hook, 2 tr. Turn. 7 ch, miss 1 st, 1 dtr in last st, turn – is there a video to show turning and what stitch you are working in? Love the scarf and bought the yarn but having such issue with starting. Thank you.
BellaCocoTeamSeptember 30, 2020 at 6:47 pm
Hi Christine can you please confirm which pattern you are talking about as I don’t have a pattern for a duchess scarf 🙂
Debbie BuglassNovember 15, 2020 at 11:22 pm
Do you have a baby cardigan pattern/tutorial please? I’ve had a look on YouTube but can’t see any cardigans I like or cannot understand the lady doing tutorial .
BellaCocoTeamNovember 19, 2020 at 8:54 am
Hi Debbie Unfortunately I don’t have a tutorial for a baby cardigan at the moment 🙂
Roseline ROLANDNovember 22, 2020 at 9:36 am
Hello Sarah Jayne,
Thanks to you, I ‘ve just discovered the wonderful herringbone stitches. They are so simple for an amazing result. I’ve just start a project on my own using the herringbone double crochet and the half treble crochet making a cardigan (top-down technic).
Your videos are clear and very pleasant. Thank you for all this and congratulation for you amazing work.
I haven’t watched all of your patterns yet, of course but as far as I went on the site I can say that I saw beautiful patterns!
(I apologize for the mistakes I made in this message I haven’t written in english since a long time ago.)
have a nice day
BellaCocoTeamNovember 22, 2020 at 5:14 pm
Hi Roseline you are very welcome and good luck with your cardigan 🙂
Di BinnieJanuary 18, 2021 at 12:00 am
Hi, is there a tutorial for a half and half (triangles) two colour basic granny square please? I’m trying a heart baby blanket from Crochet Now and I’m struggling with the two colour squares …
BellaCocoTeamJanuary 19, 2021 at 7:09 pm
I don’t have a tutorial for this specifically but it’s simple enough to do If you have a look at my tutorial on how to change colour here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MaIuAWV2BA4&t=74s we can use the same technique of pulling through the new colour yarn on the last part of our stitch. When making a granny square, you should begin working the next colour in the last stitch of the FIRST treble cluster when you make a corner. The second treble cluster should then be worked in your second colour and you can work two sides of the square before changing colours again in the same way. Hope this helps
DiJanuary 21, 2021 at 1:46 pm
Thankyou for replying. I’ve managed to work it out now with using my patience lol and rereading the pattern xx

BellaCocoTeamApril 13, 2021 at 2:25 pm

Frieda ThompsonApril 25, 2021 at 1:16 pm
Hi! I am new here, but I will be back! I have been crocheting for nearly 60 years but love learning new-to-me techniques. At present, I am looking to use a chainless foundation for a scarf for which the pattern is a repeat dc, sk, dc, sk… Is there a way to include these sk st’s in the foundation row, or will I just have to make the 1st row solid dc’s? Thanks!
BellaCocoTeamApril 27, 2021 at 1:59 pm
There isn’t a way to include skipped stitches in a chainless foundation as far as I am aware, so you would have to make the first row solid stitches and then begin your pattern
Leah BrownApril 25, 2021 at 3:41 pm
Hi Sarah-Jayne, do you have a tutorial for a nice and simple friendship bracelet?
BellaCocoTeamMay 4, 2021 at 7:28 am
Hi Leah I’m sorry but I don’t have a tutorial for this 🙂
AzizahJune 20, 2021 at 1:19 pm
Really love watching your tutorial. I never have crochet talent but after watching your video it came simple. I hope you can make cardigan tutorial.
BellaCocoTeamJune 20, 2021 at 5:17 pm
Thank you 🙂
SabrinaJuly 29, 2021 at 9:02 am
I’m just wondering if the methods of joining work for rounded edges/circles as well?
BellaCocoTeamJuly 31, 2021 at 9:07 pm
For circles and rounded motifs you would normally add a border to square them off in order to join them
TaraOctober 6, 2021 at 4:39 pm
First off, I’d just like to say that I LOVE your content! You’re the best crochet teacher out there, and I love that you have so many tutorials for left handed people.
I was just wondering, would it be at all possible to post a left handed video tutorial of crocheting a flat circle/working in the round?
I hope you have a lovely day!
BellaCocoTeamOctober 9, 2021 at 3:49 pm
Thank you so much that really does men a lot to me. Unfortunately I don’t have a left handed tutorial for this one at the moment 🙂
Karen SOctober 26, 2021 at 4:52 pm
Hi Sarah Jayne, I wonder if you could help me complete a project. I am making a child’s sweater from issue 64 in Crochet Now mag and just can’t get the sleeves right. It is the increases on the woven stitch that I am having problems with. Maybe I’m just losing my marbles but I can’t get it right! Any advice on how to increase on this stitch. Many thanks, Karen
BellaCocoTeamOctober 27, 2021 at 3:53 pm
Hi Karen It’s a bit difficult to advise on this without seeing the actual pattern, and also because there is more than one type of crochet stitch that goes by the name of woven stitch. However, increasing with most crochet stitches involves working two or more stitches instead of one. Could you try working two stitches in place of one and see if this matches up with the stitch count? 🙂
KazNovember 23, 2021 at 4:08 pm
Please can you help me as i would like to know if you have a tutorial of ‘increases in the round’ ? I have not seen this on your website but i have seen ‘invisible decreases’ (which is a good tutorial)
BellaCocoTeamDecember 2, 2021 at 2:41 pm
I don’t have a tutorial specifically for this, but you can make increases in the round exactly the same way as you would working flat; by making two or more stitches into the same stitch
HeatherMarch 4, 2022 at 9:29 pm
Do you have any tutorials on how to read a crochet pattern? I have a few gorgeous patterns.. but I have absolutely NO clue how to read them.
BellaCocoTeamMarch 8, 2022 at 3:34 pm
Hi Heather this is something that I am currently working on, hopefully you will see something being posted soon 🙂
MeznaMay 24, 2022 at 11:36 am
Hello, I’m a huge fan and I love your projects! I have a question regarding crochet, I wanted to know if you can make a video tutorial on weaving and teach us how to avoid mistakes because whenever I weave it ends up opening and ruins things, I wanted to know if you can give any tips! Thank you so much.
BellaCocoTeamMay 24, 2022 at 2:48 pm
Hi Mezna do you mean sewing in your ends? if so I already have a tutorial on how to do this, here is the link:- https://youtu.be/6qXEcQj_0L0 I hope this helps 🙂
SamJuly 4, 2022 at 12:46 pm
Firstly, thank you for your tutorials. I’ve learnt to crochet from watching You Tube tutorials. You guidance has been fantastic, so thank you!
Do you have a tutorial for the Blanket Stitch? I’m only new to crocheting and am wanting to make my 2nd blanket and liked this stitch. If you don’t have one can you suggest another stitch for a beginner.
BellaCocoTeamJuly 7, 2022 at 11:26 am
Hi Sam You’re very welcome, I’m so happy to hear you’ve found my tutorials helpful I don’t have a tutorial for this stitch at the moment but you could take a look at the Suzette stitch which has a similar appearance and is great for beginners: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=39j8Sp7yduc
JanetJuly 8, 2022 at 12:05 am
Just to say thankyou Bella coco for teaching me how to crochet I have been watching tutorials on utube thats how I found yours and yours is the best! I find it easier to learn with yours. I am now practicing with granny square as I would like to crochet a shawl eventually I need more practice though. I will keep learning… many thanks once again.
BellaCocoTeamJuly 12, 2022 at 8:24 am
Hi Janet you are very welcome and I am so glad that they have been of help to you. Let me know how you get on with your shawl 🙂
KayJuly 18, 2022 at 11:10 pm
Thanks Bella coco for your amazing tutorials. 1st project was a blanket which I made up by watching a few different stitch techniques and making it up from those. 2nd project was a tea cosy!! I have had fab compliments for both and given full credit to you. I really want to make the Jasmin cushion from your home collection but I have no idea how to read a pattern. Do you do tutorials for this or can you advise me how I can learn so I can buy the pattern. I’ve fallen in love with crochet and am now a woman on a learning mission lol
BellaCocoTeamJuly 19, 2022 at 7:05 pm
Hi Kay thank you so much, I do have a tutorial for the Jasmin Stitch, if you follow the written pattern along with the video this will help you get used to reading patterns. Here is the link:- https://blog.bellacococrochet.com/jasmine-stitch/ I hope this helps and good luck. Let me know how you get on 🙂
KirstenAugust 3, 2022 at 7:33 am
Hi Bello Coco
I am left handed and just started with crochet over this last weekend. Do you have a playlist that is just your left handed videos?
BellaCocoTeamAugust 4, 2022 at 2:17 pm
Hi Kirsten I don’t have a playlist set up, but if you search on Youtube for ‘Bella Coco Left Handed’ it will bring up all of my left handed tutorials
GailSeptember 24, 2022 at 1:07 am
Hello, I am trying to make your crochet wrist warmers, but the stitch count does not come out correct. If I chain 40 as instructed and then begin row 1 in the fourth chain from the hook, I am left with three chains and the end of the row, not four as instructed. The math just doesn’t work out. What am I missing? The only way to make it work is to begin in the 3rd chain from the hook instead of the fourth. Thanks for you help! I really would love to be able to make these wrist warmers.
BellaCocoTeamSeptember 29, 2022 at 1:58 pm
Hi Gail, I’m sorry you’re having trouble with this pattern – if you add five stitches onto your chain instead of four, to give a total of forty one, you should find that it works out for you
