    Hi Sarah-Jayne,
Do you have any tutorials on how to join yarns together.
I have a few colors that are short and would like to join them together and then crochet my project.
    Thanks for your time.
    Cheers

Hi Sarah, just wanted to thankyou for teaching me crochet. I’ve knitted for donkeys years but could never master anything more than granny stitch shawls. I’ve been crocheting now for about 3 yrs and it’s my addiction. You taught me the stitches and how to follow a pattern. I’ve made so so many different types of garments, toys, blankets .
    I think you’re Fab, my husband’s a different matter . I’m still using your tutorials and I’m 3/4 through my first C2C.
Lots of love and thanks again.

      Hi Roni

If you wanted to increase the oval basket further you would just need to continue the pattern of increases at each end. In the final row shown on the video I increased by making two trebles into one stitch, followed by one treble, followed by two trebles into one stitch, etc. For the next four rows you would just need to increase the number of single treble stitches in between the increases, so:

      1. Two trebles in one stitch, two single treble stitches.
      2. Two trebles in one stitch, three single treble stitches.
      3. Two trebles in one stitch, four single treble stitches.
      4. Two trebles in one stitch, five single treble stitches.

      Hope this helps

      Hi Holly

Thank you, it’s lovely to hear that my tutorials have helped you There isn’t really a way of squaring off the ends of a granny chevron that I think would work – what makes this pattern so appealing is the lovely chevron shape I think. For a border I would make a simple round of double crochets, and then add some pom poms or tassels to the chevrons. A picot border at either end would work well too.

      Hope this helps

    Hello Sarah Jayne,

Thanks to you, I ‘ve just discovered the wonderful herringbone stitches. They are so simple for an amazing result. I’ve just start a project on my own using the herringbone double crochet and the half treble crochet making a cardigan (top-down technic).
Your videos are clear and very pleasant. Thank you for all this and congratulation for you amazing work.

I don’t have a tutorial for this specifically but it’s simple enough to do If you have a look at my tutorial on how to change colour here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MaIuAWV2BA4&t=74s we can use the same technique of pulling through the new colour yarn on the last part of our stitch. When making a granny square, you should begin working the next colour in the last stitch of the FIRST treble cluster when you make a corner. The second treble cluster should then be worked in your second colour and you can work two sides of the square before changing colours again in the same way. Hope this helps

Hi! I am new here, but I will be back! I have been crocheting for nearly 60 years but love learning new-to-me techniques. At present, I am looking to use a chainless foundation for a scarf for which the pattern is a repeat dc, sk, dc, sk… Is there a way to include these sk st’s in the foundation row, or will I just have to make the 1st row solid dc’s? Thanks!

There isn’t a way to include skipped stitches in a chainless foundation as far as I am aware, so you would have to make the first row solid stitches and then begin your pattern

For circles and rounded motifs you would normally add a border to square them off in order to join them

Hi Sarah Jayne, I wonder if you could help me complete a project. I am making a child’s sweater from issue 64 in Crochet Now mag and just can’t get the sleeves right. It is the increases on the woven stitch that I am having problems with. Maybe I’m just losing my marbles but I can’t get it right! Any advice on how to increase on this stitch. Many thanks, Karen

Hi Karen It’s a bit difficult to advise on this without seeing the actual pattern, and also because there is more than one type of crochet stitch that goes by the name of woven stitch. However, increasing with most crochet stitches involves working two or more stitches instead of one. Could you try working two stitches in place of one and see if this matches up with the stitch count? 🙂

I don’t have a tutorial specifically for this, but you can make increases in the round exactly the same way as you would working flat; by making two or more stitches into the same stitch

Hello, I am trying to make your crochet wrist warmers, but the stitch count does not come out correct. If I chain 40 as instructed and then begin row 1 in the fourth chain from the hook, I am left with three chains and the end of the row, not four as instructed. The math just doesn’t work out. What am I missing? The only way to make it work is to begin in the 3rd chain from the hook instead of the fourth. Thanks for you help! I really would love to be able to make these wrist warmers.
